Hello hello,
Today marks two months since I’ve been living and teaching and writing in Iowa City. So far, it’s been good to me. I love my students. I like my little house, its warm light and sloping attic walls. I’ve been writing hard in the paint while I’ve been here. It’s been interesting to live in such solitude, in real contrast from my lively and peopled Brooklyn life; it’s been strange to be away from so many people I love.
When people have called me of late, the reigning and uniform question has been, how’s Iowa???
