Loved this note. ATCBD was my first read of 2023 and it was such a great way to start off the year. The last blurb of what you would tell your younger self is excellent. Thank you for your writing.

happy book birthday! I read ATCBD earlier this year and can't stop raving about it. It's the Indian queer bildungsroman I had been wishing for <3 Thank you for your work!

Also, I have a book coming out next month and this is useful to read right now as I go into full blown panic!

This is wonderful, Sarah. I will print it out to keep by my side when I'm going through the publishing process. And that tux pic is entirely FIRE. Love you and all you do.

Hi Sarah,

I just wanted to respond to a sentence in your post (you know which one), that someone (some_many_ I dare say) *is* reading your book and feeling all the feels. My partner read this book and immediately recommended this book not only because they loved it but also because I'd been moping about how there's no book out there capturing the *specific* angst of the millennial Indian immigrant woman caught in the most mindfucking crosshairs of the old world and the new. I've been saying for a few years now that I wanna write one myself...but like who's gonna read it. That no publisher would touch it. And then you come along and do it. You write the book I needed. And I kind of don't have an excuse anymore to keep_not_ writing what I know I need to write
